World's First Intelligent LED Music Controller
About the Project
Ever wonder what happens in your brain when you listen to music? The answer is synchrony. This is what enables us to hear the beat, recognize rhythmic patterns, and dance to music. Synchrony™ is the only LED controller that uses a state-of-the-art neural network that synchronizes its internal rhythms to the rhythms of music so that it can hear music the way people do. In a way, it enables you to visualize what is happening in your brain when you listen to music.

Real time synchronization is an industry familiarity for LED lighting no matter the application. This already existing technology is current and commonplace.
Listens through built-in microphone
In the past a number of LED light controllers have an option for input or external microphone. The Synchrony adds the option of a built in microphone which potentially saves the extra input and/or device.
Innovative Neural Network Technology
The description of this technology falls on the side of vagueness, but is backed by a team of professor, students, and fellows from the University of Connecticut. With years of experience and research, the element in question is the translation of research to practicality.
No Programming Required
The Synchrony is designed as a "plug and play" model. This potentially allows the user to get started without programming or much set up involved.
High quality water resistant lights
LED light strips and strings that are made by 3rd party manufacturers are typically built in a way that allows a certain level of water resistance and could be applicable for Synchrony.
Customizable via Mobile App
Although the technology is readily available to control lights via a mobile app, one thing to consider is that building a local app typically requires a separate team to create it. This sometimes gives room for variation in quality from product to mobile app.
Synchrony is attempting to bring a "new technology" to a market that is saturated by many different LED light controllers. With a team of students and professor, the new technology is leaning on years of research and studying. The thing to consider here is if adaptive and "improvisational" lighting will make a big enough difference to you at your next event in comparison to LED lighting that is matching the beat of the music but not fully unique.
