The best minimal Titanium key chain multi-tool

About the Project

About a year ago, we launched two campaigns on Skey multi-tool. The campaigns results were quite exciting, and through quite some trial and error, we have seen those campaigns through. From our amazing backers, we received a lot of encouraging praises, and quite some sincere suggestions.

Reality Check

  • Claim:

Skey is back in Mini size

  • Reality:

Straightforward reconfigurations introduce the smaller size Skey that utilizes the successful features of the original Skey.

  • Claim:

    Titanium material

  • Reality:

Continuing an already established design and successful product release in the original Skey Campaign, the Skey-mini has no issues with integrating the same materials.

  • Claim:

    Bit head and silicone band

  • Reality:

Again, these same features can appropriately be applied to the Skey-mini.

  • Claim:

    2 to 3 weeks manufacturing

  • Reality:

In the previous campaign, there was a substantial extension in production and shipping times. The expected delivery is for August which gives Skey-mini the time necessary to be produced and shipped, but consistency is yet to be proven. There was also an issue with a mix up for a small group of backers, that could potentially be a small area of concern.

Bottom Line

The Skey-mini builds on the previous success of the original Skey by making it smaller. This go around, the dimensions of the Skey-mini are closer to a truly compact tool. Some complained the original Skey was a bit larger than expected or assumed. Now, the Skey-mini is a tool and campaign aiming to build on successes and mistakes from the previous campaign to support backers. Be aware of previous shipping and production delays when considering backing the Skey-mini.
